Waco, Texas - The University of Missouri women's golf team is tied for fourth place after the first day of competition at the Big 12 Fall Preview, which is being held at Ridgewood Country Club in Waco, Texas. After two rounds, the Tigers are tied with Texas Tech at 607, just 11 strokes back of leader Oklahoma State, which leads with a team score of 596. The tournament concludes Tuesday with the final round beginning at 8:00 a.m.
Reigning Big 12 Champion Amelia Moses shot rounds of 71 and 74 on the day, and finds herself in third place, just two shots off the lead. Her 145 total trails only Melanie Hunt of Texas Tech (143) and Lisa Meshke of Iowa State (144).
Fellow senior Jamie Tucker is right behind Moses, tied for fourth place with a two-round total of 147. Tucker opened play with a 75 and followed with an even-par 72 in the afternoon for her total.
Other Tiger competitors include sophomore Elin Ohlsson (T-40th, 158), junior Nisha Sadekar (50th, 161) and freshman Tara Jacobsen (T-58th, 166). Additionally, senior Jill Rosen is competing individually, and stands tied for 60th place through two rounds with a total of 169.
