MU Takes Third Conference Shutout From Colorado

Columbia, Mo.--The University of Missouri boosts its season record to 7-6 with a 3-2 Big 12 Conference mark after downing Colorado 2-0. The Tigers pick up their fourth shutout of the season out shooting the Buffalo 18-9. MU had six shots on goal in the game, while leaving CU with just three net saves.

Freshman Adriene Davis scored her sixth goal of the season to lead the Tigers with 15 points. She took a pass from midfielder Steph Brennan, and scored the game winner from five-yards out.

Senior Jennifer McMaster and junior Sarah Sallee paired up for Missouri's second goal. Sallee made a quick crossing pass to McMaster who launched the shot into the top right corner of the net. The goal is McMaster's second of the season.

Freshman Megan Duncan earns her third conference shutout playing all 90 minutes of the game. She leads the Tigers with 687 minutes played and a 1.44 goals against average. She also leads the team with 40 saves.

Missouri continues Big 12 Conference action on Sun., Oct. 8 at 1:00 p.m., when they host Texas Tech.
