SOPHOMORE (2018)

  • Was having a breakout sophomore season that would have had him in line for SEC and national awards before a foot injury suffered during the opening weekend of SEC play slowed him down, eventually forcing him to miss the final six weeks of the season
  • Hit a team-best .360 in 34 games and had nine doubles, three triples and four homers while walking 32 times before being shelved with the injury
  • Was leading the nation in walks before his injury and stole 13 bases and scored 34 runs
  • Still tallied 15 multiple hit games in 34 tries and drove in multiple runs in seven games
  • Drove in five runs with three hits and four runs while slugging a pair of homers with two walks on the second day of the season at FIU (Feb. 17)
  • Drove in three with a double, a triple and a homer in a 3-for-4 performance against UMBC (March 2), finishing a single away from the cycle
  • His average hit the .415 mark after a 3-for-4 performance with two runs vs. Mississippi State (March 23)

FRESHMAN (2017)

  • Incredible first-year campaign in Mid-Missouri, leading to Freshman All-American honors
  • Was a middle-of-the-order threat for Mizzou all year as a freshman, turning in one of the best seasons for a true freshman hitter in recent memory
  • Hit seven homers, the most home runs by a Mizzou freshman since Trevor Coleman in 2007
  • His .282 average on the year was the best for a Mizzou freshman since Brett Bond hit .294 in 2015 while he joined Chris Cornelius as the first Mizzou freshman to drive in more than 30 runs in a season since 2010
  • Added 12 doubles, one triple and seven homers while driving in 34 runs and scoring 39 runs
  • Stole a team-high 17 bases on the year, a mark that ranked fourth in the SEC after the SEC Tournament
  • Hit his first collegiate homer against Eastern Michigan (Feb. 18)
  • Hit a walk-off homer in the bottom of the ninth inning to break a 10-10 tie against Illinois-Chicago (March 5)
  • Posted a pair of doubles against Western Carolina (March 8) as part of a 2-for-5 performance
  • Led Mizzou with 18 multi-hit games during his freshman season and had seven games during which he tallied multi-RBI games
  • Matched a career-high with four RBI twice on the year, doing so against Arkansas-Pine Bluff (4/11) and vs. Eastern Kentucky (May 16)
  • Stole a career-high three bases against Illinois-Chicago (March 4) and registered a stolen base in five consecutive games from March 10-March 17
  • Was thrown out attempting to steal just once in his first 12 attempts on the season
  • Homered in the SEC Tournament against LSU (May 24)

HIGH SCHOOL (POPLAR BLUFF)

  • No. 3 prospect in the state of Missouri coming out of high school and the top OF prospect according to PerfectGame.com
  • Hit .422 with eight homers as a senior at Poplar Bluff High School under the direction of Steve Edwards
  • Added nine triples, eight doubles and 35 RBI as a senior and stole 29 bases en route to being named the Semo Conference Player of the Year
  • Also pitched for Poplar Bluff, boasting a 2.13 ERA while leading the team with 48 strikeouts in just 32.0 innings
  • First Team All-State honoree as a senior
  • Drafted in the 33rd round by the Kansas City Royals in the 2016 MLB First Year Player Draft
