Won the hammer throw at the Battle on the Bayou with a PR throw of 68.75m (225-6) that is the second-best mark in school history … also won the hammer at the Cougar Classic (67.87m, 222-8) … at the Virginia Challenge, competed in the invitational hammer throw and placed third (67.40m, 221-1) … was third at the Texas A&M Alumni Muster (65.57m, 215-1) … placed 7th at the SEC Championships (67.15m, 220-3) … was 13th at the NCAA Championships, Round One with a performance of 65.15m (213-9).

Set the school record in the weight throw with a mark of 22.98m (75-4 ¾) at the Bob Teel Invitational and was named SEC Field Athlete of the Week … won the same event at the Alexis Jarrett Invitational (22.46m) and at the Missouri Invitational (21.78m, 71-5.5) … placed 4th at the SEC Championships (22.15m, 72-8) … earned second-team all-America honors at the NCAA Championships where he threw 20.97m (68-9.75) to place 14th.
