Crossed the line in 24:56.1 at the Alabama Crimson Classic … concluded the 6k at the Furman Cross Country Invitational with a time of 18:58.1, finishing 22nd … placed eighth overall in the season opening race at the Tennessee Cross Country Invitational in 20:25.6.

Made his first appearance at the SEC Outdoor Championships in the 1500m finishing the event with a personal-best time of 3:46.07 … opened the season competing in the 5,000m at the Raleigh Relays, finishing with a time of 14:17.51.

Captured SEC gold in the DMR at the SEC Championships, running the opening 1200m leg and helping the Vols capture their first men's DMR conference championship since 2007 with a time of 9:32.75 … placed 12th in the 3000m at his first SEC Championships, turning in a personal-best time of 8:12.23 … ran the mile at the Music City Challenge, pacing to the finish line in 4:04.99 and broke his own Tennessee freshman record … set the Tennessee freshman record in the mile in his collegiate debut with a time of 4:05.66 at the Vanderbilt Invitational.
