High School:
Young is a native of North Berwick, Scotland where she attended North Berwick High School... was chosen as a member of the Scottish National Training Squad... represented both Great Britain and Ireland in the Junior Vagliano Trophy, and is the youngest ever winner (14) of the East Lothian Ladies County Championship in 2011... returned to win the East Lothian Ladies County Championship again in 2013... Represented her country for three consecutive years in the European Girls Amateur Team Championship, helping Scotland to a sixth place finish in 2013... she is a three-time competitor in the Girls Home International Matches, and the winner of the 2012 Scottish Junior Champion of Champions, boasting a career-best score of 68 (-3)... represented the East Lothian Ladies County Golf Association for four years, and she was named 2014 East Lothian Young Sportsperson of the Year...she is the youngest-ever finalist at the Scottish Ladies Amateur Championship (2014), and she is fifth in the Scottish Ladies Order of Merit... ranked second in Scottish Girls Order of Merit in 2014.
Personal:
She is the daughter of Alan and Dawn Young...in addition to golf, she played field hockey, badminton, basketball and track in high school...enjoys watching sports, hanging out with friends and listening to music... chose Mizzou over TCU, Campbell, NMU, Richmond and UTSA...she is studying Marketing at Mizzou...has ambitions to play golf professionally on the LPGA.
