Chris Perrin joined the University of Missouri athletic training staff in November 2021 following a six-year stint at Detroit-Mercy. He is now in his sixth season as senior athletic trainer with the men’s basketball program.
In his first five years with the Tigers, Perrin has worked with a team that has earned three bids to the NCAA Tournament with seven players signing NBA contracts following their graduation. Additional highlights include Mizzou earning its most victories in 11 years during the 2022-23 campaign and advancing to the SEC Tournament semifinals for the first time since joining the league, three top-five wins during the 2024-25 campaign for the first time in 1988-89 and collecting back-to-back double-digit SEC win seasons in 2025 and 2026 for the first time in program history.
At Detroit-Mercy, Perrin served as the men's basketball trainer in addition to men's and women's golf. He started his time at Detroit-Mercy as a graduate assistant, working with women's soccer, tennis and golf.
Perrin has a wealth of basketball training experience, previously working with the Developmental Basketball Team in China, as well as an intern with the Utah Jazz.
A 2014 graduate of Michigan State, Perrin earned his bachelor's degree in athletic training and a specialization in health promotions. He then received his master's in health service administration from Detroit-Mercy in 2017.
Perrin and his wife, Maria, married in 2026.
