A veteran coach, executive and recruiter, Tim Fuller was named the first general manager of Missouri men’s basketball on June 2, 2025.
A respected presence at every level of the basketball world – from Nike to the NCAA to the NBA – Fuller brought 25 years of experience across coaching, player development, brand strategy and team building to Mizzou. His work has touched some of the sport’s biggest names and most innovative platforms, including Overtime Elite and multiple top-tier college programs.
In his newest challenge, Fuller is the first general manager of Missouri basketball. Among his responsibilities with the Tigers, Fuller will help with strategic planning and roster construction with an emphasis on alumni engagement, agent relations and NIL optimization.
Now in his second season with the Tigers, Fuller paid immediate dividends at Mizzou. He helped MU sign a top-10 freshman class nationally, headlined by a pair of McDonald’s All-Americans – the sixth and seventh all-time honorees to sign with the Tigers directly from high school. On the court, Mizzou eclipsed 20 wins and advanced to the NCAA Tournament in his first season with the program.
Fuller’s career began at Wake Forest, where he played alongside Tim Duncan and captained the team to the 2000 NIT Championship. His coaching journey then started at West Forsyth High School, where he mentored a young Chris Paul before following the future NBA All-Pro back to Wake Forest as a member of the staff.
Stops at Louisville and Missouri followed, where he served as an assistant on Rick Pitino’s Cardinals staff during the 2010-11 season before joining the Tigers as associate head coach from 2011 to 2015. In his first stint at Mizzou, the Tigers won the 2012 Big 12 Championship and finished the season ranked third nationally with a 30-5 record. Overall, Fuller has coached and recruited dozens of NBA players as a college coach, including Josh Howard, Jeff Teague and Jordan Clarkson.
Between coaching stints, Fuller served as an executive at Nike, working with elite talent like Paul Pierce, Rajon Rondo and Vince Carter, before joining Overtime Elite in its formative years. There, he played a foundational role in developing the league’s identity and guiding four top-10 NBA Draft picks – including Amen and Ausar Thompson, Alex Sarr and Rob Dillingham.
Fuller then reunited with former Mizzou student-athlete Kim English as an assistant coach at Providence College, leading the Big East program’s efforts in NIL development, recruiting and brand strategy. During his time with the Friars, Fuller helped develop NBA Lottery Pick and 2024 Big East Player of the Year Devin Carter.
A 2000 graduate of Wake Forest with a bachelor’s degree in communications, Fuller has three sons, Timothy, Solomon and Gabriel.
