St. George, Utah - The University of Missouri women's golf team finished in 4th place overall at the 20-team Utah-Dixie Classic, which wrapped up yesterday at the Sunbrook Golf Club in St. George, Utah. Missouri finished with a team score of 919 for three rounds, which was 32 strokes shy of champion Oklahoma State (1st - 887). Texas Tech (2nd - 895), New Mexico (3rd - 896), Mizzou (4th - 919) and Kansas (5th - 923) rounded out the top five.
The tournament served as MU's final outing prior to the Big 12 Championships, which are scheduled for April 21-23 in Lubbock, Texas.
All five Tigers finished in the top-40 among the tournament's 128 competitors. Leading the way were junior Amelia Moses and Nisha Sadekar, who each tied for 22nd place, with identical totals of 229. Moses shot rounds of 73, 78 and 78, while Sadekar had rounds of 79, 75 and 75 for her score.
Junior Jamie Tucker was just one stroke behind, and tied for 26th place individually with her 230 total. That total included rounds of 76, 79 and 75. Up next for the Tigers were senior Tobi Probst and freshman Elin Ohlsson, who each tied for 38th overall, with 234 totals. Additionally, junior Jill Rosen competed as an individual, and tied for 97th place, with a 251 total.
