Columbia, Mo. - University of Missouri Head Women's Soccer Coach BRYAN BLITZ has announced the signing of goalkeeper STEPHANIE KRAWCZYK of Anchorage, Alaska to a national letter of intent. She will attend Mizzou in the fall.
Krawczyk is the third goalkeeper to sign with MU for the 2000 season. A four-year Olympic Development player, Krawczyk is vying for her second consecutive first-team all-conference selection and is widely considered as a serious challenger for the Player of the Year award in Alaska. She is the daughter of Leslie and Daniel Krawczyk.
"Stephanie is a great addition to our team, adding depth and competition to the race for the starting goalkeeper position," Blitz commented. "She is a solid student, as well as having great soccer talent. We anticipate her challenging for the starting goalkeeper spot."
The signing of Krawczyk concludes the recruiting period for Missouri Soccer with seven new student-athletes added to the roster for the 2000 season.
