Women's Golf Stands 2nd at San Antonio Shootout

San Antonio, Texas - The University of Missouri women's golf team shot a round of 304 today at the Baylor/Iowa San Antonio Shootout, and stand in second place, just two strokes off first-place Wisconsin. The Tigers will contend for the tournament title tomorrow, as the field plays the final 18 holes beginning at 7:30 a.m. at Pecan Valley Golf Course, located in San Antonio, Texas.

Four Tiger individuals rank among the top 20 following Monday's opening 18 holes of play. Sophomore Elin Ohlsson and junior Nisha Sadekar led the way today, as they each shot three-over par 75s to pace the Tigers. They stand tied for 7th overall heading into tomorrow's final round.

Two shots back, tied for 16th place, is a second pair of Tigers. Senior Amelia Moses and freshman Tara Jacobsen shot identical 77s Monday, and find themselves in contention for top-ten finishes. Jacobsen's round represent a spring season best.
