Bloomington, Ind. - The University of Missouri women's golf team shot team couldn't pick up any ground today, and finished 7th at the Indiana Invitational, which wrapped up today with 18 holes of play at the Indiana University Golf Course, in Bloomington, Ind. Missouri entered today's round in 7th place, and shot a team round of 317 to finish with a three-round score of 962. That left Tom Loyd's squad four shots back of 6th-place Michigan, and 40 off the pace set by team champion Michigan State.
Individually, senior Amelia Moses notched her third top-10 finish in five outings this spring, as she finished all alone in 6th place with a three-round total of 230. She shot a four-over par 78 on Sunday, and has now placed in the top-25 in 17 consecutive regular season tournaments (not including NCAA post-season play), dating back to September of 1999.
Sophomore Elin Ohlsson turned in her third consecutive top-25 finish, as she tied for 21st place with a three-round total of 239. Ohlsson carded the best round of any MU golfer on Sunday, as she fired a three-over par 77, besting her previous rounds of 80 and 82 in the tournament. She now has five top-25 finishes for the 2000-01 season, after doing so just once last season as a freshman.
Senior Jamie Tucker tied for 34th place overall, with a three-round 243 after shooting an 82 on Sunday. Rounding out the Tiger lineup was junior Nisha Sadekar and freshman Tara Jacobsen, who tied for 57th place and 71st place, individually, with respective three-round totals of 251 and 259.
The tournament served as MU's final tuneup heading into the 2001 Big 12 Championships, which are set for April 23-25 at Ames, Iowa.
