Tuscaloosa, Ala.-Freshman Alisha Robinson earned second team All-America accolades scoring a 9.875 and finishing seventh on the vault during the 2002 NCAA Championship semifinal today. Competing as an individual all-arounder, Missouri's first qualifier since Kellie Copeland in 1993, Robinson became MU's second All-American athlete in program history. She joins the ranks of Mizzou phenom Julie Dorn who was a two-time first team All-American athlete in 1990.

In addition to her All-America title, Robinson rounded out her freshman season in the standard record breaking fashion that has mapped her inaugural year. Robinson set three new Missouri NCAA championship records in her first national championship: She scored a 38.950 in the all-around to finish 14th in her session. She also recorded a 9.800 on the floor to finish 20th and placed 35th (9.650) and 37th (9.625) on the beam and bars, respectively. Her three scores on vault, bars and the all-around are tops for a Mizzou athlete at an NCAA national championship.
