Tigers Dominate Callaway Bank Cat Classic Individual Finals

Columbia, Mo.-- Turning in another tremendous performance, the Mizzou Tigers lead the field at the Callaway Bank Cat Classic Individual Final, the Tigeres picked up four event titles, including a 1-2-3 sweep on the uneven bars.

Mirroring her Cat Classic title winning performance last season, senior Alisha Robinson picked up her second consecutive vault title scoring a duplicate 9.925. The mark ranks as the second highest vault showing in meet history. Picking up her second title of the evening, Robinson led the field scoring a 9.825 on bars. Keeping the standard, she scored a 9.900 tying New Hampshire's Amanda Hall to win the floor title - the mark ties the eighth finest mark in Cat Classic history.

Maintaining her status as a Cat Classic champion, Lauren Schwartzman picked up her second consecutive beam title scoring a 9.850. Rounding out the meet on floor, the junior scored a 9.875 to finish third.

Finishing first on bars during team competition, Jodie Heinicka again put in a stellar performance scoring a 9.800 to finish second during the individual final. Also qualifying on vault, the junior scored a 9.700 for an eighth-place showing.

After a three-way tiebreaker, single event competitor Kelley Andersen finished third on the uneven bars scoring a 9.750. Battling a two-way tie on vault, sophomore Whitney Crater finished sixth on vault scoring a 9.775

Delivering three performances, newcomer Julie Abaray opened the meet scoring a 9.650 on vault. Moving onto floor she scored a 9.750 before rounding out the evening with a 9.825 showing on beam to finish second.

Qualifying on three events, Ashley Khederian delivered top caliber performances to finish fourth on vault scoring a 9.825 and seventh on the uneven bars scoring a 9.675. Moving onto floor, the freshman scored a 9.700 to place ninth.

Following a stellar 9.800 floor performance last night, sophomore Amanda Pezzullo gave Tiger fans another stellar performance scoring a 9.725 to finish seventh as an individual.

** Taking four judges' marks, final scores were determined by dropping the high and low and averaging the two median scores. Tie breakers were determined thru a four score average.
