LINCOLN, Neb. - - The Mizzou Women's Golf Team jumped five spots into third place on day two of the Big 12 Championships, after recording the day's best score of 287. The score is the best 18-hole total for the Tigers this season and was four shots better than the second best round of the day, a 291 shot by Oklahoma State.

Missouri's two round total of 600 is five shots behind second place Texas A&M and eight shots back from the leader Oklahoma State.

Junior Stephanie Wavro turned in the second lowest round of the day with a two-under par 70 and is in fourth place overall with a two day total of 146. Wavro made three birdies on Tuesday, carding 35's on both the front and back nines.

All five Missouri golfers opened the second round on the back-nine and all five turned in an opening nine score of 38 or better. Along with Wavro's 35 on the back nine, senior Kelli Strubinger and freshman Chelsea Schriewer each shot an even-par 36, freshman Ellen Hoeper carded a 37 and sophomore Madde Augustsson turned in a 38.

Strubinger and Hoeper are each tied for 14th place with two-round totals of 150. Strubinger shot her best round of the year, a one-under 71, making four birdies in Tuesday's second round. Hoeper made three birdies on her way to a 74 in round two.

Augustsson finished with a second-round 79, and is tied for 51st place with a 151 score after two rounds of play.
