Oxford, Miss. - Sophomore Alina Rogers led the Tigers to a top ten finish at the M&F Bank Rebel Intercollegiate on Sunday (April 7). Rogers tied for eighth overall, and the Tigers finished in tenth place as a team. Mizzou finished the tournament 36-over par, holding on to a 14 stroke lead over Harvard and Tulsa who tied for 11th place. No. 49 Coastal Carolina won the tournament after shooting 1-under par, while No. 24 Baylor placed second finishing 8-over par. No. 20 Tulane rounded out the top three team competitors.
Rogers shot even par in the third round to end the three-day event just 2-over par. She went 72-74-72--218 to earn her best finish this season. Laura Kraft finished in a tie for 54th overall. Kraft finished the tournament 13-over par after closing the third round 6-over par.
Redshirt freshman Michelle Butler had her best outing of the tournament on Sunday, firing a 1-over par score in the third round. She recorded two birdies on the day and finished the tournament 15-over par to tie for 61st overall. Freshman Katherine Hepler closed the tournament just one stroke behind Butler as she tied for 65th place. After a second round score 3-under par, Hepler shot 8-over par in the third round to score 16-over par through 54 holes.
Junior Taylor Gohn also had her best showing in the third round, ending the day just 2-over par. Gohn tied for 68th in the tournament with a final tally 17-over par. She recorded four birdies on the day as well.
A total of 18 teams competed in the tournament, and six individuals competed as well.
