COLUMBIA, Mo. - Four members of the Mizzou soccer team earned All-SEC honors in voting conducted by the league's coaches, the conference announced on Sunday Senior Kaysie Clark claimed a spot on the first team for the second consecutive year, juniors Candace Johnson and Reagan Russell earned spots on the second team and freshman Kaitlyn Clark was named to the All-Freshman Team.
Mizzou's four All-SEC selections rank third among all conference teams, trailing just Texas A&M (seven) and Florida (five).
In her senior season, Kaysie Clark, who hails from Liberty, Mo., has a team best 16 points on three goals and 10 assists in 2014. Her 10 assists are tied for fourth on Mizzou's single-season list, while her 21 career assists rank tied for seventh in program history. Additionally, her five game-winning assists are tied for the single season program record. Kaysie Clark scored the game-winner against No. 17 Georgia on Oct. 17 and scored the 84th minute equalizer on a free kick against Ole Miss on Oct. 24 to help the Tigers comeback for a 3-3 tie.
In her four-year career, Kaysie Clark has played in 78 games with 75 starts and amassed 51 points on 15 goals and 21 assists.
Dallas, Texas, native Johnson earned a spot on the second team after helping anchor the Tiger defense. Johnson, who was an SEC All-Freshman team selection in 2012, has played and started 18 games in 2014 and played every minute of 16 matches, as the Missouri posted six shutouts during the regular season. She also tallied a goal on a penalty kick in Mizzou's 4-3 double overtime comeback win over Montana.
Johnson has started 57 of the 58 games she's played at Mizzou since she joined the program in 2012 and tallied four goals for eight points.
A native of Sugar Land, Texas, Russell garnered second team accolades after a career junior season where she's started 18 of 19 games in the midfield. She has career highs in all offensive categories, with 15 points on six goals and three assists. Against LSU, Russell notched two of Mizzou's three goals, and scored the eventual game-winners against UT Martin and Vanderbilt. Additionally, her goal against the Commodores, which came just 23 seconds into the match, stands as the fasted goal in Tiger history.
Over her three seasons in a Mizzou uniform, Russell has 23 points on nine goals and five assists.
Kaitlyn Clark, also native of Liberty, Mo., has recorded eight points on two goals and four assists, all of which have come in SEC action. She posted the first three points of her career with a tally and an assist in the SEC opener against LSU, a performance that earned her SEC Freshman of the Week honors. Kaitlyn Clark also had a three-point outing against Vanderbilt. On the season, she has played in all 19 games and earned 16 starts in the midfield.
