Mizzou Golf Takes Sixth in Spring Opener

Goodyear, Ariz.-- Mizzou Golf took sixth at the Loyola Golf Invite sponsored by the Neville Kovacs Group with a team score of 16-over-par 880. Utah Valley went wire-to-wire to win the event at Palm Valley Golf Club.

Ryan Zech, Luigi Botta, Hayden Buckley and Jacob Fair all tied for 22nd with scores of 5-over-par 221. Buckley, a freshman out of Belden, Miss., shot a team-low 2-under-par 70 during the final round to advance in the standings and record a career-best finish. Fair also climbed the leaderboard during the final round while competing as an individual.

Euan Walker posted an 8-over-par 224 to tie for 36th, while Wilson Sundvold tied for 51st at 11-over-par 227.

The Tigers return to action March 13-15 at the Bandon Dunes Championship in Bandon, Ore.
