Mizzou Golf Leads Hootie at Bulls Bay

Awendaw, S.C.-- Mizzou Golf sits atop the Hootie at Bulls Bay leaderboard after posting an 11-under-par 277 during the first round. The Tigers lead seven teams ranked in the top 50 of the Golfstat.com rankings.

Bulls Bay Golf Club and Hootie and the Blowfish have cohosted the tournament since 2005. The event is played on a par 72, 7,363-yard course at Bulls Bay Golf Club.

Missouri was tied for eighth at the turn, but carded 20 birdies, one eagle and just four bogeys on the back nine to climb the leaderboard. No 5 South Carolina (-8) is in second, while Coastal Carolina (-6) rounds out the top three.

Redshirt sophomore Jacob Fair is tied for first after matching his career-best round by carding a 5-under-par 67. On the last four holes of the round, Fair posted three birdies and one eagle to finish the back nine at 6-under-par 29.

Hayden Buckley and Euan Walker posted scores of 3-under-par 69 to finish the round tied for seventh. Buckley and Walker each notched four birdies on the back nine to advance in the standings.

Senior Ryan Zech is tied for 26th at even-par 72. Sophomore Linus Lilliedahl is tied for 52nd at 3-over-par 75.

The Tigers will tee off for the second round beginning at 11:40 a.m. CT Monday. Live scoring can be found on golfstat.com.
