TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - Junior Kelli Hine tallied her top victory of the season Sunday afternoon, as she took down No. 28 Erin Routliffe in three sets. The win marked Hine's third singles triumph over a nationally ranked opponent this season.
Mizzou fell to No. 11 Crimson Tide 6-1 overall at the Alabama Tennis Center. Hine's signature singles victory was Mizzou's lone highlight of the day, as the other five competitors fell in straight sets.
Hine's win over Routliffe is her third win over a ranked opponent this season. At 2014 Mizzou Invite, the Tiger junior took down Mississippi State's No. 42 ranked Georgiana Patrasc, and later in the season she defeated Kentucky's No. 85 ranked Nadia Ravita.
Mizzou enters postseason play beginning on Wednesday, April 15 at 2015 SEC Women's Tennis Tournament. Held on South Carolina's campus in Columbia, S.C., the Tigers seek their first conference victory of the 2014-15 campaign.
