Mizzou soccer battled to a 1-1 draw against Auburn on Sunday afternoon at the Auburn Soccer Complex to cap off the regular season.
Missouri (4-10-3, 1-7-2 SEC) leveled the match in the 83rd minute when Hailey Chambliss (Eureka, Mo.) scored her third goal of the season after finding the ball out of a corner kick, putting it in the back of the net from just a few feet out. McKenna Moran (Chesterfield, Mo.) was credited with her third assist of the season.
Redshirt sophomore goalkeeper Riley Wilkerson (San Luis Obispo, Calif.) led MU defensively with nine saves, including six in the second half to preserve the result. The nine stops marked her tied her high of the season in her second start for the Black & Gold.
Auburn (5-5-7, 1-3-6 SEC) opened the scoring in the 20th minute, but Missouri responded by generating several late chances before Chambliss converted the equalizer from close range.
Missouri's back line of Morgan Meador (Edwardsville, Ill.), Shania Spriggs (Lee's Summit, Mo.), Callaway Combs (Eureka, Mo.) and Mia Yang (Leawood, Kan.) each played the full 90 minutes. Auburn finished with the advantage in total shots and corner kicks, while Missouri placed three attempts on frame.
