
Tennis Wraps Up Successful Weekend at SDSU Fall Classic

Mizzou tennis concludes a successful run at the SDSU Fall Classic hosted in San Diego, California, Nov. 7-9. The Black and Gold featured three athletes and two doubles pairs in the finals.
Sophomores Korina Roso and Zoe Lazar went undefeated throughout the weekend in doubles play. Freshman Alex Ackman and sophomore Julie Bedard earned a victory as well over North Carolina Central.
Graduate student Mary Brumfield and senior Andrea Artimedi placed second in doubles.
Roso won the singles tournament over Saint Mary's Iman Khan in the finals. Lazar followed, placing second. Artimedi and Brumfield both dominated their singles matches and won their final divisions.
Finishing singles, Bedard earned a win over Stanford's Morgan Shaffer.
UP NEXT
The Black and Gold conclude their fall season and will be back in action January 16-17 to begin spring play. Mizzou will take on Wisconsin, Northern Illinois and Chicago State in DeKalb, Illinois.
