Ten Tigers Compete in Individual Finals on Fifth Day of SEC Championships

ATHENS, Ga. – University of Missouri swimming and diving saw its highest number of finalists on day five of competition at the 2025 SEC Swimming and Diving Championships, with 10 different Tigers earning berths in individual championships inside Gabrielsen Natatorium Friday night.
Grant Bochenski competed in his second individual final of the conference championships, swimming 45.71 in the men's 100 back to finish ninth.
Returning to his third straight men's 200 fly SEC Championships final, Jan Zubik finished tenth. The Poland native's 1:41.26 is the fourth fastest time in program history. Freshman Matthew Judkins also swam in the final, turning in a 1:43.08 performance and finishing 19th.
The women's 100 breast squad proved successful sending all four athletes to finals. Karolina Bank earned the highest mark at tenth with a 58.99 swim, the third fastest in Mizzou history. The rest of the squad followed with Zara Zallen in 13th (59.94), Paige Striley at 17th (1:00.46) and Holley Dennis coming in at 24th (1:01.16).
Alex Ochsenbein represented the Tigers on the men's side, finishing 16th in the men's 100 breast with a time of 52.48.
Sophomores Kylee Sullivan and Emily Roden both set personal bests in the 200 fly finals. Roden finished 22nd in 1:57.46 and Sullivan followed her in 23rd with 1:57.86.
The 400 medley relay squads closed out the nights with 10th place finishes and season bests. Sydney Bales, Bank, Taylor Williams and Zallen turned in a 3:33.49 in the women's 400 medley relay. The men's 400 medley relay of Bochenski, Ochsenbein, Zubik and Luke Nebrich finished the race in 3:06.60.

The Tigers will conclude their stay at the 2025 SEC Swimming and Diving Championships Saturday. MU will then turn its attention to hosting the Mizzou Qualifier, March 1-2, at Mizzou Aquatic Center.
