
Diving Finishes Zone Competition with Seven NCAA Championship Bids

COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri diving concluded its stay at the NCAA Zone D Diving Championships, with four Tigers garnering platform diving bids for the 2025 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships on the final day of competition at the Campus Recreation & Wellness Center in Iowa City, Iowa.
Including Wednesday's qualifiers, six Mizzou divers wrapped up Zone competition with a total of seven qualifying marks for the 2025 NCAA Championships, which will be held later this month in Federal Way, Washington.
On the women's side, Mia Henninger will make her first appearance at NCAA Championships after putting up a 540.90 performance and eighth-place finish in the platform. She scored 264.25 in the preliminary round to advance to the finals.
Three divers from the men's squad qualified for NCAA Championships in men's platform diving. Tommaso Zannella earned the highest mark, finishing fourth after scoring 762.00 overall. The sophomore scored a 387.35 in the preliminary round. Derek Colbert and Deacon Colbert were the final two Mizzou divers to qualify for the Championships. Derek finished fifth with a score of 753.45 after scoring 373.40 in prelims. Deacon earned his spot with a seventh-place finish, scoring 732.80 overall score and 377.80 in the preliminary round.
Collier Dyer, who earned NCAA Championship berths in both the 1-meter and 3-meter competitions on the first two days of the Zone Championship, competed in the men's platform diving final. The junior scored 656.55 overall to place 14th. Olivia Liddle competed in women's platform diving, scoring 202.50.

The 2025 NCAA Women's and Men's Swimming and Diving Championships will be held at Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center in Federal Way, on March 19-22 and March 26-29, respectively.
