COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Baseball will welcome the Columbia community to Taylor Stadium for a special "CoMo Day" on April 21 versus SIUE at 6 p.m. CT. In celebration, all members of the Columbia community will receive free admission while the first 200 fans will receive a giveaway t-shirt.
The Tigers will debut a new "CoMo" inspired alternate jersey that features an ode to one of the city's most recognizable landmarks, The Columns.
"What makes Mizzou a special place is that the university is at the center of the community," head coach Kerrick Jackson said. "It was important as a program to recognize where the majority of our support comes from. We are truly excited for CoMo day at Taylor Stadium."
Fans are encouraged to arrive early as Columbia native and NASCAR Hall of Famer Carl Edwards will throw out the game's ceremonial first pitch and John Warner Middle School will be singing the national anthem. Several local community groups will be on site throughout the game, hosting tables and engaging with fans.
The event is designed to bring together the CoMo community and provide an opportunity for fans of all ages to experience Mizzou Baseball in a welcoming, family-friendly environment.
First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT and the game will be nationally televised on SEC Network. All Mizzou baseball games are available via audio stream on The Varsity Network app by Learfield with longtime play-by-play voice Tex Little on the call alongside Matt Michaels providing color.
