Start and Turn Camp
The most vital components of any race are starts and turns. With a focus on power, speed, and efficiency, the Start and Turn Camp will help campers maximize their race potential. This popular camp is designed to enhance starts, turns, and breakouts for all four strokes and is open to all swimmers age 8-18. To enrich your experience and gain a competitive edge, add on the Tiger Technique Camp or Training Camp.
All Around Camp
The All Around Camp is aimed to take all of the knowledge of the Mizzou Coaching staff and merge everything together. We will be teaching stroke technique, starts, turns, training, and race strategy. We will leave no stone unturned to make your camper better. With these changes will come an additional day of camp, so our camps will run Sunday evening to Thursday morning.
Fees include camp instruction, t-shirt, swim cap, camp booklet, lunch and dinner, and use of the facility.
Eligibility
Per NCAA rules, sport camps and clinics conducted by the University of Missouri are open to all entrants. Enrollment is limited only by age, grade level, gender, and capacity restrictions as specified by each camp.
Male and female swimmers of any ability level are welcome. It is highly recommended, but not required, that swimmers have competitive experience prior to attending summer league, high school, YMCA, USA swimming, etc. Camps are not learn-to-swim programs.
Availability
Camp will be limited to the first 100 campers for each camp.
Medical Forms
Insurance Information: Each camper is required to have health and accident insurance in order to attend camp.
Medication: If your child requires medication, he/she will be responsible for taking it. Our staff is not allowed to dispense or hold onto any medication. Please bring a detailed list of medication including: name of medication, dosage amount, and dosage times to give to your child's counselor. Counselors can remind and check to make sure your child remembers.
Allergies: If your child has any severe food allergies, please alert the staff before coming to camp.
A University of Missouri trainer is on staff for each camp and is at all pool sessions.
Facilities
All pool sessions are held at the Mizzou Aquatic Center on The University of Missouri campus. Ranked by Sports Illustrated (September, 2005) as the #1 Student Recreation Center in the United States. The Mizzou "Fast Water" pool is one of the premier competitive aquatic facilities in the world. Since its completion in 2005, there have been multiple American and World records set in its waters. The competition pool is 8-8.5 feet deep, 50 meters by 25 yards, and can create either eight 50-meter lanes or 22 25-yard lanes. The diving pool is an 18-foot deep, 25-yards-wide pool, and can create 8 lanes.
A couple of added features have made the experience even better for athletes, coaches and spectators. We have added Ultraviolet (UV) disinfection systems to both the 50M Pool and Diving Well. In concert with proper air handling and pool chemistry, the UV systems will provide better air and water quality in the Mizzou Aquatic Center, as well as a reduction in pool chemicals needed for proper maintenance.

Cell Phone Policy
Cell phones are permitted at camp. However, we caution sending them with your camper. If a camper becomes homesick, they can hinder more than help in the camp experience. Many campers will also call home first instead of receiving immediate help from a staff member, which lengthens the response time. Cell phones are not allowed during activities, or on walks to/from the pool. The Camp reserves the right to confiscate cell phones from campers who do not follow this policy. Please talk to your child about what he/she needs & doesn't need to call (or text) you about. If you feel a cell phone may be abused while at camp, please do not send one with your camper.
Supervision
An experienced athletic trainer is available during all workout sessions. All employees have passed a background check conducted by The University of Missouri Human Resources Department. Our camp is typically staffed by our very own University of Missouri Coaches and Student-Athletes!
Online Registration
Registration for the Mizzou Swim Camp is completely online. Once you register you will receive a confirmation email. You can go online to manage and update your camper's information. The Roommate Request feature will allow you to lock in to your roommate. Be sure that both roommates request each other!
Manage Your Account & Make Payments
Upon receipt of the completed online registration form and payment, an online account is created if you did not already possess one. You or your registered camper is able to log into your account using the login and password created for you. This allows you to update your contact and billing information, make additional payments, add additional camps, make e-mail / phone changes, request a roommate, etc.
Remember: you are responsible for keeping your contact and camper information current. Be sure your e-mail address is correct, and enable any spam/junk e-mail blockers to accept e-mails from mizzouswimcamp@missouri.edu. You will receive confirmation e-mails and statements, as well as any future news or updates regarding camp sessions thru e-mail.
* If you need to change your session or request a refund, you need to contact the camp. The $150 deposit for all camps is non-refundable for any reason at any time.
