Dear Mizzou Gymnastics fans,
Welcome to the 46th year of Tiger gymnastics at the University of Missouri! Head Coach Shannon Welker and coaches Whitney Snowden, Lacey Rubin, and Jackie Terpak led the 2024 Tigers to a #11 ranking at the end of the season, the second highest in program history, with a team NQS of 197.42. It was another record-setting season, including the team’s season highest ever 12 meet scores of 197.00+.
Other team records: record high scores for vault (49.500), bars (49.600), and floor (49.700); home dual meet record attendance of 7,336 vs. LSU; bars finish at #11 with a 49.420 NQS, both program bests. The Tigers are also one of only 7 teams to make NCAA Regionals Finals the past four years. Individual accomplishments of note: three perfect 10.0 scores during 2024: Mara Titarsolej (bars), Sienna Schreiber (beam), and Jocelyn Moore (floor).
Three Tigers earned Women’s Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) Regular Season All-American status. Graduate student Sienna Schreiber earned All-America First Team recognition on beam, while junior Jocelyn Moore and senior Mara Titarsolej claimed All-America Second Team positions on floor and bars, respectively. This is the first time in program history in which three individuals have earned All-American honors and is also the first time that the Tigers have had an All-America finish on three events in the same season.
Additional honors in 2024: Tiger junior Jocelyn Moore was named SEC Event Specialist of the Year. Seniors Sydney Schaffer, Sienna Schreiber, and Mara Titarsolej, juniors Amari Celestine and Jocelyn Moore, and freshmen Kennedy Griffin and Hannah Horton earned All-SEC honors. Additionally, Griffin and Horton were named to the All-SEC Freshman team. At the annual Mizzou Athletics ROARS ceremony, Sienna Schreiber was named Female Athlete of the Year, Mara Titarsolej received the Highlight of the Year award for her perfect 10.0 on bars, and Kennedy Griffin received the Heather Morris Courage Award.
The 2024 Tigers also excelled in academics. This season twelve Tiger gymnasts were named to the SEC Winter Academic Honor Roll, and three were named to the SEC First Year Honor Roll. In August, the WCGA announced that thirteen members of the Mizzou Gymnastics squad earned Academic All-America recognition. Jocelyn Moore and Sienna Schreiber earned Academic All-District honors from College Sports Communicators (CSC). The 2024 Academic All-District® At-Large Team, selected by CSC, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Schreiber was named in June to the CSC Academic All-America second team.
