Goode was a powerful and athletic offensive tackle who won all-America honors in 1983 for his play on the line. He was also first-team aqll-Big Eight Conference that year and a big part of Missouri teams that appeared in three bowl games (1980 Liberty, 1981 Tangerine, 1983 Holiday). He was team captain in 1983 and was selected to play in the East-West Shrine all-star game. In the NFL he played for the New York Giants (1984-85) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1987-89) and later moved to California, where he became a successful Hollywood actor, screenwriter and producer. Among his acting movie credits are Con Air, Anger Management and The Longest Yard. His father, Conrad Hitchler, is also a MU Hall of Famer for his own standout Tiger football career.
