Fry set numerous season and career records to become one of the top offensive players in MU baseball history. Named all-Big Twelve Conference and a 2nd-team all-American after his senior season of 1998, the Oak Grove, Missouri native set career records for hits (265), doubles (56), RBI (222), runs (223), extra base hits (106) and total bases (463), and was second in home runs (42) and fourth in slugging percentage (.589). He had a career batting average of .337. Fry hit .377 as a senior in 1998, with an MU-record 27 home runs, and drove in a career-high 78 runs. He also set a Mizzou season record with 92 hits in 1996. He was a standout in the classroom who twice earned GTE/CoSIDA academic all-America honors (1997 & 1998) and was also a three-time academic all-Big 12 selection (1996, 1997 & 1998). His older brother, Shaon, was an all-America wrestler at Mizzou and was a 1999 inductee into the MU Intercollegiate Athletics Hall of Fame.
