
Michigan State drops Tigers

East Lansing, Mich. -- Michigan State handed the University of Missouri wrestling team a 29-3 setback Saturday night at the Jenison Wrestling Arena.
John Kopnisky, the nation's seventh-ranked wrestler at 174 pounds, picked up the Tigers' lone win, recording an 8-3 victory. Kopnisky got a takedown with 15 seconds remaining in the first period to take a 2-0 lead and added an escape and another takedown to have a 5-0 advantage.
Missouri falls to 1-4 this season. MU will compete in the Virginia Duals Jan. 12-13 in Norfolk, Va.
