COLUMBIA, Mo. -- For the second-straight day, the University of Missouri women's tennis team suffered a loss to one of the nation's top-ranked teams. One day after falling 6-1 to #14 Texas, the Tigers lost 4-3 to #44 Southern Methodist at the MU Outdoor Tennis Complex Sunday.
After winning the doubles point, Missouri could only record wins by Jessica Ferguson and Andrea Friedman in singles play. Friedman, the program's lone senior, won her final home match.
The Tigers (13-9) will play Oklahoma State on Wednesday in Waco, Texas, before beginning play Thursday in the Big 12 Tennis Championships in Waco.
