Tennis Concludes Season at SEC Championship

NORMAN, Okla. - Mizzou tennis concludes its season in the first round of the Southeastern Conference Championship, falling 4-0 to No. 15 LSU on Wednesday, April 15.

Doubles play saw LSU winning two matches to clinch the point. Freshmen Lara Quaglia and Alex Ackman were defeated 6-1 on court three, while sophomores Gian Octa and Zoe Lazar fell 2-6 on court one. Senior Andrea Artimedi and sophomore Korina Roso had just won a set to push their match to 3-5 when it went unfinished.

For the singles portion, Lazar was first to conclude her match, as she retired in the second set. Roso finished next on court two as she fell, 6-0, 6-3. LSU clinched the match when Quaglia was defeated 6-4, 6-1 after a tight first set. Artimedi won her first set of singles, 6-4, when her second set went unfinished alongside Ackman's at court 5and Octa's at court 1.
