Tennis Drops Match to No. 4 Auburn

OXFORD, Miss. - Mizzou tennis faced Southeastern Conference opponent No. 4 Auburn on the road, dropping its match 4-0.
The Auburn Tigers claimed the first point of the match by clinching doubles. Freshman Lara Quaglia and sophomore Gian Octa fell 6-2, followed by freshman Alex Ackman and sophomore Zoe Lazar losing 6-1. Doubles duo sophomore Korina Roso and senior Andrea Artimedi were down 4-3 before their match went unfinished.
Transitioning into singles, Roso lost first against No. 49 Ekaterina Khairutdinova, 6-2, 6-2. Octa fell next in the No. 1 spot, battling No. 37 DJ Bennett, 6-0, 6-3. Lazar followed, dropping her match, 6-2, 6-2 against No. 55 Ava Esposito.
Artimedi, Ackman, and Quaglia's matches went unfinished as Auburn clinched the match.

Mizzou heads to Gainesville, Florida, on Sunday, April 12, and is up against the No. 17 Florida Gators at 12 p.m. CT.
