
Tennis Falls to No. 8 Oklahoma on Senior Day

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Mizzou tennis kicked off the weekend at the Green Tennis Center on Saturday, April 4, hosting the Oklahoma Sooners and honoring Andrea Artimedi for Senior Day.
For doubles, freshman Lara Quaglia and sophomore Gian Octa tied with Oklahoma's No. 1-ranked doubles duo 3-3. The Tigers dropped the doubles point with senior Artimedi and freshman Alex Ackman falling 6-2 on court three, while sophomores Zoe Lazar and Korina Roso, on court two, 6-3.
No. 110 Gian Octa tied Oklahoma's No. 45 Edda Mamedova in the singles matches on court one. With a strong effort, Artmedi attempted to make a comeback in the second set; however, it finished it off with a score of 5-7. The Black and Gold fell short on courts two, three and four, ultimately losing 4-0 to the Sooners.

The Tigers head to Auburn, Alabama, on Friday, April 10, to take on No. 4 Auburn at 5 p.m. CT, before heading to Gainesville, Florida, to take on No. 16 Florida on Sunday, April 12, at 1 p.m. CT.
