CEDAR FALLS, Iowa. – The No. 13 Missouri Tigers (10-5) stayed alive at the 2011 NWCA National Duals with a 29-12 thumping of No. 17 Central Michigan on Saturday evening. Missouri won seven of the 10 matches and scored bonus points in four of their wins.

Senior Todd Schavrien improved to 3-0 on the day with his second bonus point victory, as he pinned Scott Mattingly in 4:47. Schavrien went up 5-0 after the first and scored three takedowns and a near fall in the second before sticking Mattingly. Schavrien has now won 11 straight dual matches.
At 149, Kyle Bradley kept the pressure on the Chippewas with an 8-3 victory. Bradley sealed his victory with two third period takedowns after leading 4-0 after two.
After taking No. 10 DJ Meagher of Cornell down to the buzzer earlier, Gregoris used that momentum and picked up his first dual win of the year, scoring an 8-1 victory at 157 pounds for the Tigers. Leading 1-0 going to the third, Gregoris turned up the heat, picking up two near falls before Eric Cubberly escaped. After the escape, Gregoris landed one last takedown to go with his 1:30 of riding time.
Zach Toal scored a major decision at 165 pounds, shutting out Ryan Cubberly by an 8-0 score. Toal landed a takedown in each period and an escape in the third while controlling over three minutes and 30 seconds of riding time.
Mizzou picked up back-to-back technical falls at 184 and 197, as Mike Larson won 16-1 with riding time, giving him the technical fall in 7:00, and Brent Haynes winning 17-0 in 2:50. Four takedowns and two three-point near falls paced Larson's win, while Haynes scored a takedown 20 seconds into the match and turned his opponent five times within the first period for an additional 15 points.
Mizzou will take on No. 6 Boise State tomorrow morning at 9 a.m. with the winner facing the winner of Iowa State vs. Oklahoma State in the fifth place match. The loser of Missouri and Boise State will face the loser of that match.
