
Women's Team Falls to Texas A&M

Columbia, Mo. - The Missouri women's swimming and diving team fell to Texas A&M this weekend with the final score of 180-120.
Several women had an outstanding day for the Tiger squad. The relay team of Cassie Cunningham, Rachel Ripley, Shara Stafford, and Lisa Nathanson took the first place spot in the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 1:42.06, and met the NCAA women's qualifying B-standard.
In the 200 yard freestyle, Stafford placed first recording a time of 1:48.00. Stafford also took first in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 50.15, while Nathanson placed second with a time 51.80. In the 50 yard freestyle Tigers took the top two spots with Nathanson recording a time of 23.54 for first place and Cunningham notching a time of 23.99 for second.
Dominique Bouchard placed first in the women's 200 backstroke with a time of 1:58.53 and took second in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 55.32. In the 100 yard breaststroke, Courtney Rhodenbaugh placed second and Emy DiBenigno placed third with the times 1:04.78 and 1:04.83 respectively.
In diving, Jordan Morcom placed third with a score of 288.63 in the 1 meter diving event and also placed third in the 3 meter diving event with a score of 338.70.
The Tigers will next face Southern Illinois and Kentucky on November 5.
