
@MizzouTennis Concludes Action at Mizzou Invite

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou tennis team concluded action at the seventh annual Mizzou Invite Sunday with two singles and two doubles win at the Mizzou Tennis Complex.
Sophomore Taylor Gruber took home the Black Flight singles title after a perfect 3-0 weekend at the Invite, while junior Mackenzy Middlebrooks and sophomore Ellie Wright won the Black Flight doubles crown, also with a 3-0 mark. Wichita State's Sandra Honigova won the singles Gold Flight, while the Shockers' No. 14 doubles team of Fatima Bizukova and Marta Bellucco won the Gold doubles title.
SINGLES
Gruber defeated Wichita State's Ting-Ya Hsu, 6-4, 6-1, for her third singles win of the weekend. She also posted straight-set victories during Friday and Saturday action, en route to the Black Flight singles crown.
Wright claimed her second singles win of the weekend (6-4, ret.) when Wichita State's Marta Bellucco medically retired following the first set. She also earned a victory during Friday action.
DOUBLES
Wright teamed up with Middlebrooks for their third doubles win of the Invite with a 6-4 victory over Denver's Hannah Templeton and Anna Riedmiller. Also claiming a doubles win were junior Serena Nash and sophomore Marta Oliveira, who defeated Hada Chang and Bianca Mok of Denver, 6-2.
