
Mizzou Men’s Golf Set to Tee Off Final Fall Tournament Sunday

Mizzou competes in the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate in Alabama Sunday-Tuesday
Vestavia Hills, Ala. – Mizzou Men's Golf travels south to compete in its final event of the 2020 fall season, the Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate, hosted by the University of Alabama in Vestavia Hills. The Tigers return to action after a big showing last week where they carded an overall team score of 846 at the Legends Collegiate Invitational, the lowest 54-hole team score since posting an 845 at the Tiger Invitational in the Spring 2019 season.
The event will once again feature all 14 Southeastern Conference programs in a 54-hole stroke play tournament over three consecutive days, each consisting of 18-hole rounds from Sunday thru Tuesday.
WHERE: The event will take place at Old Overton Country Club (Par-70, 7,209 yards) in Vestavia Hills, Ala.
WHEN: The Jerry Pate National Intercollegiate will begin on Sunday, Nov. 8 and conclude on Tuesday, Nov. 10. The Tigers will be paired with Ole Miss in the first round and tee off at 12:20 p.m. on Sunday.

Headlining the Tiger lineup this week is veteran Rory Franssen. He recently carded a season-low 67 last week at the Legends Collegiate Invitational to tally his 50th career round under-par.
Columbia native Ross Steelman is in the second spot for Mizzou after a historic performance at the Legends Collegiate Invitational. He fired a 7-under 64 in the first round, tying the eighth-best round in program history, and finished T-11 for the tournament with a new career-low 54-hole score of 205.
In the third slot is sophomore Yu-Ta Tsai who is also coming off of a strong performance last week. He set new career-low 18-hole and 54-hole marks at the Legends Collegiate Invite with scores of 69 and 213, respectively.
Junior Tommy Boone will be representing Mizzou in the fourth spot this weekend in his second start of 2020, looking to tally his 5th career round under-par.
Senior Jack Parker rounds out the Tiger lineup in the fifth spot after also carding a season-low score 68 in Mizzou's last time out at the Legends Collegiate Invite.
