Mizzou Diving Continues Action at NCAA Zone Championships

DALLAS - The Mizzou men's and women's diving teams continued action at the 2020 NCAA Zone D Diving Championships Tuesday at the Robson & Lindley Aquatics Center and Barr-McMillion Natatorium in Dallas, Texas.
KEY PERFORMANCES
Freshman Savana Trueb (Colorado Springs, Colo.) qualified for 3-meter finals on Tuesday and finished 14th overall, one spot away from an NCAA Championships berth. She was 17th after prelims with 269.1 points but tallied 295.9 points in the finals session to finish in 14th with a two-round score of 565 points.
Freshman Maddie Huitt (Gibsonia, Pa.) 20th with 268.2 points and sophomore Sarah Rousseau (Melbourne, Fla.) placed 21st with 266.8 points.
In the men's 1-meter competition, freshmen Leonardo Garcia Varela (Cali, Colombia) and Carlo Lopez (Edmonton, Alberta) just missed sports in the finals with finishes of 19th and 20th, respectively. Garcia Varela tallied 268.9 points, less than out a a point out of advancing, while Lopez was just behind with 267.05 points.
