
Mizzou Wraps Up SEC Championship Run

The Tigers fall short of advancing to match play
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Women's Golf closed out its SEC Championship campaign Friday afternoon after falling short to advancing on to the weekend match play portion. The Tigers finished in 13th place after posting a collective 11-over 875 (293-291-291).
Veteran Jessica Yuen (Bolingbrook, Ill.) made her fourth SEC championship appearance where she led the team by claiming her second-consecutive event under par with a 2-under 214. Yuen sandwiched a 73 with a 3-under 69 and 1-under 71 respectively to ultimately tally her 35th career round under par. She caught fire on the back nine of the last day, sinking four birdies within her final seven holes to finish tied for 31st.
Senior Noelle Beijer (Assendelft, The Netherlands) bounced back from day one where she posted a 75 to then go on a run and fire a season-low, 3-under 69, followed by an even-par 72. Both the second and third rounds included five birdies each to help her slide up the leaderboard 19 spots to finish at T-36 with an even-par 216, her season-best 54-hole event score.
Both sophomore Sophia Yoemans (Redwing, Minn.) and freshman Emily Staples (Orlando, Fla.) closed out tied for 58th place with an 8-over 224. Yoemans totaled 10 birdies over the three days while Staples commanded the greens to card her season-low round score of a 72 in the final round.
Wrapping up the team was sophomore Brianne Bolden (Mokena, Ill.) who's performance was highlighted by her first round score, a 1-over 73. She finished in 68th place with an 18-over 234.
This concludes the SEC 2020-21 season for Mizzou. The NCAA regionals take place from May 10-12.
