
Innes Earns All-American Second Team Honors at NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships

Sam Innes becomes the first Tiger to earn an All-American recognition for men’s weight throw since 2009.
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – University of Missouri track and field's Sam Innes was named a Second Team All-American following his weight throw performance at the 2025 NCAA Indoor Championships on Friday evening at Virginia Beach Sports Center in Virginia Beach, Va.
The redshirt junior placed 14th at the championship with a throw of 20.97m (68-9.75). Innes is the first men's weight thrower to receive an All-American accolade since 2009.
The Tigers look ahead to the second day of competition, which will begin with the women's high jump on Saturday at noon. Kristi Perez-Snyman and Claudina Diaz will compete in the event.
In the triple jump, Euphenie Andre will represent the Black & Gold for the women and will begin competing at 2:20 p.m. On the men's side, Jonathan Seremes and Sterling Scott will vie for the national championship beginning at 5:20 p.m.
