
Three Tigers Notch Top-Three Program Marks at Raleigh Relays, Battle on the Bayou

Rahel Broemmel, Monica Wanjiku and Sam Innes finished in the top 10 of their respective events.
RALEIGH, N.C. – University of Missouri track and field's Rahel Broemmel, Sam Innes and Monica Wanjiku claimed the top three spots in school history in their respective events following the second day of competition at the Raleigh Relays hosted by NC State and day one of the Battle on the Bayou hosted by LSU on Friday.
At the Raleigh Relays, Broemmel's time of 15:50.11 earned her a ninth-place finish in the 5,000m and third in school history, while Wanjiku took third in the 10,000m with 32:21.97, good for second in program history. In the men's hammer throw at the Battle on the Bayou, Innes took first with a throw of 68.75m (225-06), the second-best result by a Tiger.
In Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Callan Saldutto (67.32m, 220-10) and Valentina Barrios (52.93m, 173-08) earned first place in the men's and women's javelin throw, respectively.
Five Tigers also set personal bests at the meet. In the field events, Reagan Kimrey's 51.48m (168-10) and Kaitlyn Morningstar's 50.25m (164-10) marked new best results in the women's hammer throw, while Clayton Kamp did so on the men's side with a throw of 56.70m (186-00).
In the meet's track events, Ethan Lee (3:46.76) and McKenna Revord (4:31.07) achieved new bests in the 1,500m on the men's and women's side. Kobi Walker notched her career-best time in the 5,000m at the Raleigh Relays with a time of 16:32.06.
