
Women's Golf Leads Following Day One of Johnie Imes

Mizzou women's golf carded a 14-under 562 on Monday to hold an 11-stroke lead following day one of the Johnie Imes Invitational at The Club at Old Hawthorne.
Led by senior Melanie Walker, who is in second at 2-under par, five Tigers occupy the top 10 in the individual leaderboard.
Walker birdied four holes in the back nine of her opening round to take an early lead in the tournament.
Coming off a record-setting victory in her collegiate debut, Ebba Liljeberg finished the day in fifth at 5-under after recording birdies on her final three holes of the second round.
Addie Dobson is in fourth place after a strong opening round of 4-under par, which featured six birdies.
Fleur van Beek rounds out the Tigers at the top of the leaderboard. The sophomore is in fifth after notching an eagle to begin the back nine of her second round.
Missouri will be back in action at 8 a.m. on Tuesday for the final round of the Johnie Imes Invitational at The Club at Old Hawthorne.
