COLUMBIA, Mo. — Mizzou tennis heads to Lincoln, Nebraska, to compete in the Husker Invitational, Sept. 26-28, to begin the 2025-26 season. The tournament will follow a round robin format, hosted at the Sid and Hazel Dillon Tennis Center.
Throughout the three-day tournament, Mizzou will face Nebraska, Illinois, Wichita State, Iowa State, and Kansas State. Day one (Sept. 26) will begin with two doubles and a singles match.
Heading into the new season, Mizzou tennis brings back four returning starters from the 2024-25 season: graduate student Mary Brumfield, senior Andrea Artimedi, and sophomores Korina Roso and Zoe Lazar.
Bolstered in the off-season, the Tigers picked up a pair of transfers: graduate student Michelle Kleynerman from Boston and sophomore Julie Bedard from Auburn.
Rounding out the team are freshmen Alex Ackman and Jenna Kleynerman. Ackman, hailing from Stuart, Florida, brings in five-star talent as the No. 59-ranked recruit in the country. Kleynerman, from Pleasantville, New York, joins her sister, Michelle, and comes in with multiple league team and section championships.
The Tigers will welcome new leadership this season with interim head coach Silvia Chinellato stepping up to the court. Chinellato began the 2024-25 season as an assistant coach before being promoted to associate head coach. She is joined by assistant coaches Carson Gates and Christos Dagklis.
