COLUMBIA, Mo. - Mizzou baseball dropped its series finale to 25th-ranked Texas A&M by a final score of 14-3 in seven innings Sunday afternoon at Taylor Stadium.
After opening the weekend listed as a game-time decision with an injury, freshman RHP JD Dohrmann was cleared to make the start for the Tigers (17-12, 1-8 SEC) but was unable to come back out for the second inning following a scoreless first frame.
Texas A&M (22-5, 5-4 SEC) got on the board in the second inning with a three-run homer to center field, totaling four runs in the inning – all coming with two outs. The Aggies were able to connect on another one in the third for a two-run home run, extending their lead to 6-0.
The Tigers got on the board in the third with a solo shot to left field (381 ft.) off the bat of Kam Durnin for his third big fly of the season.
Righty reliever Trey Lawrence entered the game in the fourth and managed to throw two scoreless innings, allowing just three hits while striking out three Aggies.
Jase Woita got a hold of one in the fifth for his sixth home run of the season (424 ft.), bringing Kaden Peer home to make it an 11-3 game. The Aggies were able to get one of those runs back in the sixth with an RBI single from catcher Bear Harrison.
