
Gymnastics' Horton Scores 9.8875 on Bars at NCAA Championship

Junior Hannah Horton ties for ninth on bars in Session II of the NCAA Championship Semifinal.
FORT WORTH, Texas – Mizzou gymnastics' Hannah Horton (Brooklyn Park, Minn.) scored a 9.8875 on her bars routine at the NCAA Championship on Thursday at Dickies Arena.
Horton, who rotated with Arkansas in the third rotation, tied for ninth on bars in Session II of the NCAA Championship Semifinal.
Horton's 2026 campaign was highlighted by her selection as Southeastern Conference Specialist of the Year, marking the third consecutive season a Tiger has earned the honor and the fifth time in the last seven years for Missouri.
The junior earned the NCAA Lexington Regional floor title with a 9.925 on April 3, marking her second straight regional championship after winning the NCAA Seattle Regional bars title in 2025.
At the SEC Championship, Horton finished as the vault runner-up with a 9.950 to earn All-SEC honors and added a 9.900 on floor to help Missouri post the top team score on the event in Session I.
Following the regular season, Horton ranked 18th nationally on floor, 21st on vault, and 25th on bars. She became the first Tiger to finish in the top 25 nationally in three events since Sarah Shire in 2011.
Horton recorded a career-best 9.975 on vault at the Ameritas Masters Classic during the 2026 season and posted season highs of 9.950 on both bars and floor.
