PITTSBURGH – Mizzou wide receiver Kevin Coleman Jr. and cornerback Toriano Pride Jr. heard their names called on the final day of the 2026 NFL Draft Saturday in Pittsburgh.
Coleman Jr. was the first Tiger taken Saturday with the 37th pick of the fifth round – No. 177 overall – by the Miami Dolphins. Pride Jr. was selected by the Buffalo Bills with the fourth pick of the seventh round – No. 220 overall.
The six Tigers selected this year mark the second most taken in a single draft in school history. The six players – Zion Young (Ravens), Josiah Trotter (Buccaneers), Chris McClellan (Packers), Keagen Trost (Rams), Kevin Coleman Jr. (Dolphins) and Torino Pride Jr. (Bills) – are tied for the most in the Eli Drinkwitz era, equaling the 2024 draft. In the common draft era (since 1967), the school record of seven Mizzou players was set in 1981.
Coleman transferred back to his home-state Tigers for his final year of eligibility. The St. Louis native started 11 games and played a critical role in the Mizzou passing attack, leading the Tigers with 66 receptions for 732 yards. He also ranked 13th nationally, averaging 12.6 yards on 15 punt returns, including a 67-yard punt return touchdown to seal the win at Arkansas.
