COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou track and field's Skylar Ciccolini has been selected as a member of the 2026 Southeastern Conference Track & Field Community Service Team, the league office announced Thursday afternoon.
The graduate student has become one of the most decorated student-athletes in program history. On May 12, she was named the 2025-26 Brad Davis SEC Community Service Leader of the Year, becoming the third in Mizzou Athletics history to receive the award since joining the league in 2012 and the first since 2014. Her efforts were recognized nationally, earning a selection to the 2025-26 Allstate NACDA Good Works Team.
Ciccolini has logged hundreds of community service hours throughout her career, organizing "Someone Else's Shoes," a multi-year shoe drive benefiting Turning Point Homeless Center. The project collected over 300 pairs of shoes over the course of three years.
In addition, Ciccolini has volunteered extensively with local food banks and food insecurity relief initiatives throughout the Columbia area while participating in youth mentorship and outreach programs through local schools and service organizations.
She has served as a camp counselor and mentor for youth athletics and educational programs and remains active in Mizzou Athletics community outreach efforts and departmental service initiatives.
Ciccolini continues her standout season in javelin after punching her ticket to the NCAA Championship Final in Eugene, Ore., slated for June 10-11 at Hayward Field. She advanced with an 11th place throw of 50.51m (165-8) at the NCAA West Regional Championships, the fourth time advancing to the final round in her collegiate career.
