Arena Information |
Home to Missouri men’s and women’s basketball, Mizzou Arena produces one of the country’s top home-court venues thanks to state-of-the-art training facilities and locker rooms, and a full-length practice gym which is open to Tigers student-athletes 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Mizzou has spared no expense when providing its student-athletes the finest in training and therapy equipment. Mizzou Arena is home to a private Athletic Performance Center, designed specifically to train basketball athletes. This area has strength training and cardio equipment, designed specifically by the strength staff to maximize student-athletes’ abilities on and off the court.
Across the hall, the Mizzou Athletic Training room comes complete with aqua therapy and hydro pools, as well as treatment tables and offices for the Mizzou Sports Medicine Team. Due to its efficient design our student-athletes are just steps away from every specially-designed player development area.
Nutritional needs can also be met at Mizzou Arena. While teams have the ability to cater in meals before/following games and practices, both locker rooms have nutrition stations to meet the needs of our student-athletes.
Once you enter Norm Stewart Court, it becomes easy to see why Missouri has won at a high clip at home since the building was opened in 2004. The Mizzou student section anchors one end of the court and 26 state-of-the-art suites separate two rowdy decks of fans. In total the building holds better than 15,000 fans and is known for being one of the SEC’s toughest road venues for our visitors.
Behind the suites are private clubs, which also can host large functions. The arena is catered by Levy Restaurants, which is one of the premier sport and entertainment caterers in collegiate and professional venues.
In 2023, the traditional gold seating was replaced with black seat backs that feature additional padding. The Tigers also introduced new lighting, an updated sound system and an on-court projection package to enhance fan experience.
Prior to the 2021-22 season, locker rooms for both teams were renovated to include updated player lounges, private taping bays, dressing rooms and film rooms.
In 2018 a complete remake of the Mizzou coaching offices was completed. Entryways and offices underwent a remodel, providing fresh graphics and redesigns for offices to meet the needs of the men's and women's basketball staffs.
Mizzou Arena has also hosted some of the nation's top artists and is the home of the state high school basketball and wrestling championships.
