Senior Forward Christine Flores
On the close loss...
"It just comes down the little things, losing your player, having two people on the ball, not talking. It really just comes down to those types of things and we lost it there for a minutes and it cost us a game. I have no doubt we are going to get in practice, and we are going to practice those things and we're not going to let this happen again."
On the crowd...
"Yeah that's probably the main thing I'm happy about right now. I mean having that student support is amazing, there is nothing like it. We really haven't had that much (support) before, and our coaches have been reaching out to people, people have been reaching out to our coaches trying to get people here and its working. They are going to see how great our team is and hopefully we get more attendance. That crowd was just phenomenal. It really helps, even though we didn't get the win today, the fans bring a lot to the game and it really does help us out."
Junior Guard Liene Priede
On forgetting the close loss...
"Well, this is not a conference game so it is a little bit different, I would say. I am definitely not going to carry it with me to the next day. What's done is done, and I'm not going to live in the past."

Opening Statement...
"Tough loss, man, there were a lot of possessions where I thought we looked really good, and there were certainly a handful of possessions where I didn't feel like we had the discipline we needed to both on the offensive and defensive end. It is a game of runs, and they ended up with the last run. We came up short today, but give Northwestern some credit they have some nice players and a Top 10 All-American player on their team. I thought their post players did a real nice job. You know, there were some possessions where I thought we looked awful good, but the breakdown is unacceptable. We have got to get better and we are going to come back on Monday and watch tape, critique it, and make that adjustment. I feel like we got tired there in the second half and we were steaming a little bit. We quit on some possessions that we can't afford to do, especially with teams like this, but this is a great measuring stick for us. We are going to play teams like this in the Big 12 and we just have to go back to work, roll up our sleeves and get back to it on Monday."
On the performance of the freshman playing against a team on this level...
"I would say inconsistent. I definitely thought there were some good things out there, but we never really got going in a rhythm. Kyley (Simmons) did a nice job running the point, but we didn't get a lot of scoring out of her. I think you can go up and down the lineup and there are a lot of things, a lot of possessions that we can look at. They are all areas that we can control, but we aren't getting that done yet. I thought we kind of got panicky with the ball there in the second half when they were making a run and that hurt us. We can learn from it and move forward, and these kind of games get us ready for the Big 12 and so this will be a good measuring stick for us."
On Brock and Flores relationship and how it has grown...
"I think they both just have toughness to them and their relationship has continued to grow. I think they respect each other. You know they both bring something completely different to the court for us with their skill set. I know that they understand that they need to be consistent for a chance for us to be in games. They have really done a tremendous job, for us, and with that. Things don't always go their way but they have shouldered that. They have come a long way. They had 43 points, 11 rebounds and six blocks between the two of them, and we can get that night-in and night-out. We are going to put ourselves in a pretty good situation, and so, again with that rest of the lineup there is a lot of youth and a lot of new kids that are playing a lot of minutes and so we need to get some more consistency from those positions and we will. There have been some great things this year and these kids play hard every day in practice. We will get there, and there is no doubt about it they have to be in every game for us for us to have a chance.
